Cancer Support

We offer functional medicine support to patients undergoing cancer treatment. We are not oncologists, While there are centers that offer complete treatment for cancer using alternative holistic approaches to cancer we do not. Our program is designed to either support standard oncology care or provide ongoing support after a patient’s standard cancer care.

In our experience what has worked well for our patients is conventional cancer care supported by functional medicine techniques to improve a patient’s nutritional status and immune system. We have seen patients try a do it yourself holistic approach to cancer and these have invariably ended badly.

Our goal is to find underlying issues of toxicity, genetic, and nutritional deficiencies that we can correct. In our experience, most cancer patients have issues in all of these areas. Our role is to identify these issues which may impair recovery and correct them. This care needs to be coordinated with a patient’s standard oncology treatment. This is because some of the treatments we offer can potentially interfere with other cancer treatments, this is usually just a matter of timing. For example, a nutrient used for improving detoxification, glutathione, can potentially interfere with chemotherapy if given shortly before or after a chemotherapy treatment. Glutathione is a potent antioxidant and it can protect cancer cells from chemotherapy drugs. It is for this reason that integrative care needs to be coordinated with standard cancer care so that the two therapies work in harmony for the best possible outcome.

The use of integrative therapies when properly coordinated with standard cancer care can improve outcomes and reduce the side effects of chemotherapy and radiation.

Our process starts with a comprehensive evaluation of the cancer patient’s nutritional status, genetics, and toxicity. Equipped with this data we can design a treatment regimen to correct the issues found and improve their therapeutic outcomes. We also need to know about the other therapies being provided by a patient’s oncologist.

Some of the therapies we offer include:

  • Vitamin C IVs
  • Nutritional IVs
  • Peptide Therapy
  • Ozone therapies
  • Detoxification IVs
  • Chelation IV
  • Glutathione IVs
  • Myer’s Cocktails
  • Nutritional support protocols
  • PEMF Magnetic Pulse therapy
The process starts with an evaluation, and laboratory testing needed to design a comprehensive treatment program designed to dovetail with your cancer care. It is our belief that the best cancer care requires a multi-specialty team approach.
