TREATING THE “WHOLE YOU” NOT JUST A SYMPTOM

Our approach to improving our patient’s health is comprehensive, collaborative and personalized. Northwest Integrative Medicine combines conventional medical treatments with alternative or complementary ones. We go beyond helping patients cope with the disease; to exploring the very reasons “why” you are experiencing fatigue, low libido, allergies etc.

Traditional medical treatments usually focus on relieving or controlling symptoms. This approach relies on medication to manage symptoms without necessarily getting to the root of the problem. For instance, fever may be casually treated with over-the-counter (OTC) antipyretics when there are no other complaints, signs or symptoms. On the other hand, our functional medicine approach is holistic and offers patients alternative choices that focus on the cause of the illness rather than merely controlling the symptoms.
